A number of international law firms have announced partner promotions in the UAE, including three in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi.
Allen & Overy (A&O) has promoted Arash Koozehkanani to the partnership. The litigation and international arbitration expert has over eight years of experience in the region and is based in the firm’s Dubai office. He assumes the role on May 1, 2024, upon the firm’s merger with Shearman & Sterling.
Koozehkanani is one of 40 new partners at the soon-to-be merged firm known as A&O Shearman.
Dentons, meanwhile, has promoted 12 new partners across the UK, Ireland and Middle East (UKIME).
Kanishka Singh has been appointed a partner in the projects team based in Abu Dhabi, effective May 1, 2024. Singh advises on energy, infrastructure, and transport projects, including renewable and traditional energy projects.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has welcomed 23 new partners, including Saad Mian in the Dubai office, with effect from May 1, 2024.
M&A specialist Mian has over 15 years of experience advising financial sponsors and strategic investors on acquisitions, disposals, co-investments, and reorganisations.
Clyde & Co, the region’s largest international law firm, has promoted 19 partners globally, effective from May 1, 2024. This includes Zoe Tite, who is based in the firm’s aviation group in Dubai.
