Corporate partner duo join Saudi’s K&A

Christian Both and Omar Iqbal join from Addleshaw Goddard and Baker Botts, respectively.

Khoshaim & Associates (K&A) has added two corporate partners to its ranks in Saudi Arabia.

Christian Both and Omar Iqbal join the independent Saudi Arabian law firm’s Riyadh office from Addleshaw Goddard and Baker Botts, respectively, according to their LinkedIn profiles.

Both specialises in M&A, joint ventures, investments, venture capital, IPOs, commercial matters, and competition law.

He was at Addleshaws for under a year, having joined the firm in August 2023. Prior to this, he spent nearly two decades between Freshfields and Clifford Chance, working between Saudi Arabia and Germany.

Iqbal focuses on private equity, joint ventures, foreign investment, corporate restructuring, and commercial matters.

Before joining K&A, he worked in the regional offices of Baker Botts, Baker McKenzie, and Clifford Chance.

Commenting on the hires, K&A managing partner Zeyad Khoshaim said in a statement: “We are thrilled to welcome Christian and Omar to our team. Their extensive experience and proven track records in handling high-profile transactions will undoubtedly strengthen our corporate practice. With the new additions, K&A has a total of seven partners, according to its website. It has two offices in Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh and Jeddah.
