BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates (BSA) has appointed a new partner and head of energy and natural resources for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Frances-Yvonne Igweh has joined the firm’s Dubai office from Spencer West, where she was a partner and head of the UK-headquartered international firm’s Africa practice.

Prior to Spencer West, she worked as general counsel for an international consortium and practised at Clyde & Co in London.

She brings over two decades of experience on high-net-worth projects specialising in energy, construction, infrastructure, and mining transactions across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Commenting on her appointment, Igweh told Law Middle East: “I am honored to join such a dynamic, progressive and highly reputable firm which leads in its vision for cross-border energy matters taking into account the unique position that the UAE holds in this sector.”

“I look forward to building on the firm’s traditions and successes and creating a greater impact in the pivotal role it plays in the energy, renewable energy and natural resources sector for both public and private sector clients across the region and globally,” she said.

BSA is a regional law firm, headquartered in Dubai, with offices across the UAE, Riyadh, Muscat, Beirut, and Erbil.
