Barakat, Maher & Partners in association with Clyde & Co has been appointed as legal counsel for Egyptian Aviation Services (EAS).
The agreement was signed by His Excellency General Mohamed Kamel, chair and managing director of EAS, and the law firm’s managing partner, Mohamed Barakat, according to a statement.
EAS provides ground handling services such as cargo, load control, and ramp handling, across major airports in Egypt, including Cairo International Airport. It supports nearly every international airline across all of the airports and terminals in Egypt.
“We are delighted to be appointed as EAS’ legal counsel to provide legal services in support of their operations—it is a testament of our capabilities and track record of representing leading industry clients in Egypt, including the government,” said Barakat in a statement.
“Part of Egypt’s framework for sustainable development 2030 includes bolstering its tourism industry revenues by 20% annually to US$45 billion, including its tourism traffic to US$30 million,” he added.
Egypt Vision 2030 is a national agenda which launched in February 2016, with the aim of achieving sustainable development.
