Addleshaw Goddard has expanded its corporate and capital markets offering in Saudi Arabia with a key partner appointment.
Jad Slim has joined the Riyadh office from White & Case, bringing over a decade of experience advising on equity capital markets (ECM) transactions in the Kingdom. He previously served as counsel at White & Case in Riyadh.
He has a track record of advising on initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary public offerings, and other ECM workstreams, and has played a pivotal role in landmark deals in the Kingdom.
Beyond ECM, his experience extends to broader regulatory advisory and corporate structuring, including e-commerce operations, compliance, and regulatory engagement. His expertise also extends to sector-specific matters, including employment, banking, real estate, energy, healthcare, IT, and retail.
Addleshaw Goddard Middle East head Robin Hickman said: “Jad’s arrival is a significant addition for our corporate team in the Middle East and our third new partner hire in 2025. His expertise in ECM, combined with strong commercial acumen, will be invaluable in helping our clients navigate the complexities of Saudi Arabia’s dynamic capital markets. With his deep market knowledge and proven ability to deliver on high-profile transactions across jurisdictions, Jad is a natural fit for Addleshaw Goddard as we continue to strengthen our presence in Saudi Arabia.”
“I am joining Addleshaw Goddard at such an exciting time for both the firm and Saudi Arabia’s capital markets,” added Slim. “I look forward to leveraging my experience in capital markets to support clients in achieving their strategic objectives and to further developing the firm’s presence in this high-growth sector.”
Last month Addleshaw Goddard appointed Lucas Pitts as a partner in the commercial disputes team in Dubai. He joined from Bird & Bird, where he spearhead the establishment and development of the firm’s Middle East dispute resolution practice.
Addleshaw Goddard launched in the Middle East in 2012, and has since grown to more than 20 partners and close to 100 other lawyers across four regional offices in Dubai, Doha, Muscat, and Riyadh. The firm recently marked one year in Riyadh, after securing a licence from the Saudi Ministry of Justice in January 2024.
