Clyde & Co, Dentons and Skadden add to Middle East partnerships

The new partners are spread across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Jeddah.

Global law firms Clyde & Co, Dentons, and Skadden have announced partner promotions within their Middle East offices, as part of larger firm-wide promotion rounds taking effect in May 2025.

Clyde & Co, the largest international law firm in the region, has promoted Janeen Pickering to partner in the real estate practice based across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Meanwhile, in Jeddah, Lamisse Bajunaid has been promoted to partner in the firm’s intellectual property, technology and commercial practice.

They are among 25 new partners at the firm. Nearly half (12) of the promotions were made across the firm’s UK offices, where it is headquartered. Almost a third (8) of the promotions were made in North America, where Clyde & Co has operated since 2006 and where it has 19 offices. Those promotions follow the merger with Dallas-based firm, Tillman-Batchelor earlier in 2025.

Clyde & Co has recently expanded its Saudi Arabia operations, opening an office in Jeddah last year. Since May, the firm has appointed or promoted eight partners across two offices in Riyadh and Jeddah, including five internal promotions and three lateral hires.

Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, has announced the promotion of two partners in Dubai.

Hazel Shakur Quinn has been promoted to partner in the real estate practice, while Faris Shehabi has been promoted to partner in the dispute resolution practice.

They are part of ten new partners across the firm’s UK, Ireland, and Middle East (UKIME) offices.

Elsewhere, Skadden has elevated Bora Rawcliffe to partner in its new Abu Dhabi office. Formerly a counsel, Rawcliffe specialises in white collar defense & investigations, and is one of 22 new partners at the US-headquartered firm.
