Baker Botts has promoted Rakan Alyusuf to counsel in Riyadh.
Alyusuf is a corporate and capital markets lawyer with experience advising on initial public offerings (IPOs), public mergers & acquisitions (M&A), equity and debt issues, and joint ventures.
He also has experience in representing clients before the General Authority for Competition in merger control filings and compliance investigations.
Alyusuf is one of three new counsel across the firm’s global offices.
At the same time, the firm announced the promotion of 12 new partners.
The majority of the appointments were made across the firm’s US offices, where it is headquartered, in practice areas including corporate, litigation, tax, intellectual property, and projects. The appointments are effective January 1, 2025.
