Dubai Chambers has launched its first overseas hub in London offering legal services to individuals and businesses seeking to establish operations in Dubai.
Dubai Hub London aims to strengthen ties between Dubai and the UK, creating new investment opportunities. London was selected as the first hub due to its global financial status and access to a broad investor base keen to engage with Dubai’s growing market, according to a statement.
In its initial phase, the hub will offer services from Dubai government entities including the Dubai Courts, with plans to expand to additional government entities in future phases. It is located in London’s Kensington in Lancer Square, Kensington Church Street.
The hub will provide legal and administrative services including contract drafting and review, document translation, signature verification, court affidavit coordination, certification, attestation with authorities including the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, notary public and power of attorney drafting. It will also provide services relating to business set-up, visas, residency, and real estate in collaboration with property developers in Dubai.
The hub is supervised by Dubai Chambers and operated by Al Burj Holding.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, president and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the launch reflects Dubai’s commitment to supporting investors abroad in line with the directives of the leadership and the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
“We are focused on enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness and ensuring convenient access to services for our international clients. The launch of Dubai Hub sends a clear message: facilitating business for global investors is our top priority,” he said.
Earlier this year, a report showed the UAE was the second most active foreign jurisdiction in London’s Commercial Courts, overtaking the US, Russia, and Switzerland for the first time.
