Hadef & Partners has today announced the appointment of four new partners, effective January 1, 2025.
The partners specialise in practice areas including corporate, dispute resolution, and regulation, based across the UAE firm’s offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Mohamed Eissa and Rami Obeid have been promoted to partner in the firm’s dispute resolution practice.
Eissa has over 20 years of litigation experience in the Middle East, advising and handling disputes in shipping, aviation, financial crime, commercial and banking. He has represented GCC companies and international clients in complex litigation matters before all levels of the court.
Obeid has experience handling a wide range of commercial litigation and has acted for leading regional and multinational companies on a variety of complex, high value disputes. His practice includes a broad range of commercial matters with particular experience in commercial contracts, real estate, insurance, intellectual property, and debt recovery matters.
Marwan Abdel Hamid, meanwhile, has been promoted to partner in the corporate practice. He is involved in complex reorganisational matters as well as advising a number of local and expatriate families in the UAE and GCC. He advises on a range of corporate structuring, family wealth planning, advisory and regulatory matters as well as capital markets and initial public offering (IPO) transactions.
George Anis is a member of the firm’s regulatory and government advisory practice, bringing 15 years of expertise in government, regulatory, tax advisory, public law, and dispute resolution. He has experience advising government and private entities on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters. He also acts as an arbitrator in contractual and construction disputes and provides strategic advice to private sector clients seeking clarity on government determinations.
