Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the hire of a new partner.
Himanshu Chahar has joined the firm’s Abu Dhabi office as a partner and director in corporate transactions, marking a return for him to the firm where he previously worked for six years in New Delhi, India.
Chahar was most recently an associate at BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates (BSA), where he worked for two years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He has over 15 years of experience specialising in corporate law matters across India, the UAE, and wider Middle East. His areas of focus include M&A, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, foreign investments, and policy matters across various sectors.

The firm opened its first office in the Middle East, in Abu Dhabi, in March this year. The office, which is located in the Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), focuses on corporate, commercial, and arbitration matters.
CAM has offices in key business centres across India, including its headquarters in Mumbai. The firm opened an office in Singapore in December 2021.
