Latham advises on two Saudi deals led from Dubai

The firm advised Kammelna on its acquisition by Impact46 and Gathern on its $72 million series B financing round.

Latham & Watkins has advised on two deals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by Dubai partner Omar Maayeh.

The firm represented Kammelna on its acquisition by Impact46 and Gathern on its $72 million series B financing round.

Kammelna, a gaming studio best known for digitising the card game Baloot, was acquired for an undisclosed sum by Impact46, a venture capital firm and one of Saudi Arabia’s most active technology investors.

It is Impact46’s largest investment in Saudi Arabia’s entertainment industry to date, and will accelerate Kammelna’s expansion and launch into new games.

Maayeh also led on the deal involving Gathern, a vacation rental platform, alongside Middle East co-deputy managing partner Eyad Latif.

The fundraising round values Gathern at over $266 million. It was led by Sanabil Investments, with participation from Endeavor Catalyst, Nuwa Capital, Pinnacle Capital, and STV.

Latham & Watkins said in a statement the new capital will help the company prepare for an initial public offering (IPO) on Tadawul, while accelerating expansion across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

Maayeh specialises in M&A, private equity, and corporate transactions, and was recently promoted to partner in March 2025.
