Trowers & Hamlins has strengthened its Middle East real estate practice with the relocation of a partner from London to Dubai.
Eileen Duncan will lead the practice as head of real estate, Middle East, working across the firm’s regional offices while maintaining ties with her UK colleagues, to help clients realise investment opportunities.
She brings to the role several years of experience in the real estate sector, having joined Trowers in 2001 and becoming partner in 2007.
Commenting on her move, Duncan said:
“I am thrilled to be moving to Dubai at such an exciting time for the local real estate sector. The region’s burgeoning real estate market is going from strength to strength—the total value of real estate projects planned or under way in the GCC is around $1.4 trillion, with new projects and initiatives coming online all the time.”
Jeremy Ingham, international managing partner, added: “We’re seeing a wealth of developments across the real estate market, with major projects and associated assets within the hospitality, logistics and technology sectors presenting key areas of growth and diversification. Real estate runs though the core of Trowers’ business and we look forward to pioneering better environments and businesses for our regional clients through our unique expertise.”
Trowers has around 20 partners across the Middle East with offices in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, and Oman.
The firm’s global real estate team is complimented by its hub in Malaysia and soon-to-open Singapore office, as well as specialist expertise from the Korea and India desks.
